How do I delete a single line item on a checklist?

Overview: delete a checklist line item

Deleting a line item removes an unused checklist item from a checklist or template, which is used when cleaning unused steps from a test script without changing completed work.

To clear Pass, Fail, or N/A on a line item first, see Reset a line item / checklist item.

  • Your role must be the checklist responsible user, or Manager or Admin.
  • You can find the menu at the open checklist - Menu - Edit and add items.
  • This removes the selected line item permanently from the checklist.

Only the checklist responsible user, or users with the project role Manager or Admin, can delete line items.

You cannot delete line items that are already checked, commented on, or have attached files. Deletion cannot be undone.
