Reset or Revert a Checklist Signature

Overview: reset a checklist signature

Removing a checklist signature ends the current approval at that point so you can correct the checklist and sign again, which is used when a checklist was approved too early or with errors.

For PIN-protected signing, see Require PIN code before signing a checklist.

  • Your role must be the checklist responsible user, or Manager or higher.
  • You can find the menu at the open checklist - Approved status - Remove Signature.
  • This changes the approval state and what appears in the exported PDF report.

Only users responsible for the checklist, or users with the project role Manager or higher, can reset or remove a checklist signature.

A signature is never fully deleted. It is marked invalid so the approval trail stays intact. Approvals after a removal do not appear in the exported PDF report until you re-approve.

Approve the checklist first

  1. Open the checklist.
  2. Approve the checklist.
  3. Add your signature.
