Use CxPlanner in Offline Mode

Overview

How do I work with CxPlanner when offline or in areas with poor internet connection?

CxPlanner supports full and partial offline functionality, especially optimized for mobile and tablet use. You can complete checklists, take photos, and create tasks offline. When internet access is restored, your data syncs automatically.

Offline mode is available to all users.

When and why to use this

Offline mode is ideal for field conditions where connectivity is poor or unavailable, such as:

  • Mechanical rooms, basements, or remote job sites
  • Situations with unstable Wi-Fi or mobile data
  • Preloading tasks before entering offline environments

Key points:

  • Enables continuous work even without internet
  • Checklists, photos, and tasks are saved locally
  • Data syncs automatically once you're back online
  • Conflicts are stacked — no data is overwritten
  • Most useful on mobile and tablet devices

Steps: Prepare for offline work (mobile & tablet)

  1. On your mobile or tablet, open your project.
  2. In the left sidebar, scroll to the bottom and click Offline synchronization.
  3. Tap Synchronize data to cache.
  4. Choose what to sync (e.g., checklists you're assigned to).
  5. You’re now ready to work offline.

Steps: Prepare for offline work (desktop)

  1. Click your avatar in the top right corner.
  2. Select Offline synchronization.
  3. Click Synchronize data to cache and select what you need.
